The Distillation Tower is a machine added by the GregTech mod. Part of a multi-block structure, used to separate fuel into its individual components. It requires a constant supply of at least 128 EU per tick to operate, otherwise the progress and energy will be lost. It is strongly recommended to have a dedicated MFE for a consistent power supply. Using a Pickaxe to mine the Distillation Tower will break it into Machine Parts. To retrieve the actual machine, a Wrench must be used.

A functional Distillation Tower is made up of one Distillation Tower block, 26 Standard Machine Casings and 16 Advanced Machine Casings, arranged in a 3 × 3 × 5 Tower. The structure has to be created as follows:

1. Full layer of Standard Machine Casings
2. Hollow layer of 8 Advanced Machine Casings
3. Hollow layer of 8 Standard Machine Casings
4. Hollow layer of 8 Advanced Machine Casings
5. Full layer Standard Machine Casings

Once the Machine Casing frame is complete, the Distillation Tower block may be placed in front of any middle block of the first layer. If built correctly, the texture of the block will change. It is possible to have up to four different Distillation Towers installed the same Machine Casing frame by placing one on four different sides.
