The Lapotronic Energy Storage Unit is a block added by GregTech that can store up to 2,000,000,000 EU. Without upgrades, it has a max input of 32 EU/t and an output of 5 EU/t. The energy output is marked by an orange circle. All other sides of the block act as inputs that can receive EU through Cables.
The Lapotronic Energy Storage Unit has a unique GUI that allows recharging of armor without the annoyance of placing it into one's inventory beforehand. However, it will not charge items that require a greater voltage than the LESU may receive as input; for instance, Nano Armor requires MV.
Upgrades[edit]
The capacity of the Lapotronic Energy Storage Unit can be increased by adding one or more LESU-Blocks to form a structure. Each LESU-Block increases the LESU's max storage by 1,000,000 and the output rate by 1 EU/t. The LESU should be placed so that the output and input faces can still be accessed easily.
Maximum input is tiered, becoming 128 EU/p (MV) at 32 connected LESU-Blocks and 512 EU/p (HV) at 128 connected Blocks.
The LESU can hold a maximum of 2,000,000,000 EU, requiring 1,999 LESU-Blocks to create such storage capacity. The LESU's input and output rates are capped at 512 EU/t, requiring 507 LESU-Blocks to allow for such an output. At maximum storage it would take over 54 hours for the energy to drain, with a constant output of 512 EU/t. To reach the maximum energy storage amount, over 140,000 Lapis Lazuli would be necessary as well as several thousand Copper Ingot, Redstone/Electrum Ingots and Refined Iron.
