The Magic Energy Converter is a machine added in GregTech which allows to convert some magical items like Eyes of Ender and Nether Stars into EU at a rate of 24 EU per tick. It is also compatible with Thaumcraft 3 mod; for example, the elemental shards (e.g. fire shards, water shards, etc.) can be used as the magical 'fuel'.

This machine is also a relatively simple way to produce Dull Shards, useful in making Thaumcraft 3's Crystal Capacitor; all shards usable in the Magic Energy Converter will produce a Dull Shard upon its energy being fully extracted.
