Superconductor Wire is a Cable added by GregTech. Superconductor Wire is the strongest Cable, being able to transfer EU packets of any conceivable size without any energy loss over any distance. Unlike other cables, which can be picked up with a pickaxe or by hand, a wrench is necessary to successfully collect Superconductor Wire. Using any other tool will yield Machine Parts instead of the wire.

When used to transport ultra high voltages from the fusion reactor, it might instantly electrocute(kill) any player standing close to it, even if wearing full QuantumSuit with full charge. Note that this occurs only with the 1,000,000 EU packets, all standard voltages as well as 8,192 EU packets are completely safe.

Usage

Superconductor Wire is the only wire that can accept electric currents from a Fusion Reactor. It is also the only wire which can accept current from a Supercondensator's downtransformation, with 8,192 EU packets, and is therefore used to feed these into HV-Transformers for further downward transformation, or more efficiently, directly into a Matter Fabricator or Fusion Reactor. Although Lightning Rods also generate 8,192 EU/p, this can be directly transformed to usable packet sizes by placing HV-Transformers around the Rod, making superconductor wire a frivolous item to use for this purpose.
