WIP/NYI Twilight Forest Blocks

WIP/NYI Twilight Forest Blocks denotes a set of blocks in the Twilight Forest mod that are either a Work In Progress or Not Yet Implemented. These are denoted, respectively, with a [WIP] or [NYI] tag when viewing the items with NEI. These blocks either function at a minimal level and are still being developed (in the case of WIP) or do not function at all or have functions that do not yet work (in the case of NYI). This page is heavily subject to change. As WIP and NYI tags are removed from blocks on this page, blocks will receive their own pages and their own positions in the Twilight Forest category and the Twilight Forest navigation template.

Work In Progress Blocks

These blocks do not function to their fullest potential yet and have some features which have not been coded in. They are in development and may cause bugs or world corruption, although most are fairly benign. Use with caution.

Anti-Builder Related Blocks

Currently, there are two Anti-Builder related blocks: the Anti-Builder and the Anti-Built Block. The Anti-Builder has ID 1522:9 and prevents blocks from being built in a cube around it of size 9x9x9. If there are blocks preexisting around the Anti-Builder when it is placed and when Redstone current is applied to activate it, the Anti-Builder creates Anti-Built Blocks with ID 1523:4 that will be rebuilt when destroyed.T̶h̶e̶ ̶A̶n̶t̶i̶-̶B̶u̶i̶l̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶l̶o̶c̶k̶s̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶c̶r̶e̶a̶t̶e̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶h̶a̶r̶v̶e̶s̶t̶e̶d̶.̶ The Anti-Builder can be harvested by picking up the block as an entity with the Portal Gun, then dropping it onto a torch (Press G), or with the Gravity Gun. It will drop as an item. Take care however, since the Anti-builder will instantly remove all the blocks around it, potentially dropping you through the floor. The Anti-Built blocks created by the Anti-Builder cannot be collected the same way, but they can be collected with silk touch.

Magic Tree Core Logs

This needs updated: The Timewood Clock speeds up the growth of plants near it. The Sortingwood Engine condenses items into as few chests as possible. The Minewood Core acts similarly the magnet (by pulling ores that are nearby to the surface surrounding it), but is unlimited (I do not know if that means that it will never stop pulling ores getting gradually farther away or if it means that it never breaks as the magnet has only 20 uses. I also do not know the max range of this item). There is also the Transformation Tree that causes the disco like color changes seen in the enchanted forest wherever it is placed.

Old Info: There are four logs that act as "cores" to the four "magic trees" (the Tree of Time, Tree of Transformation, Miner's Tree and Sorting Tree); the cores, respectively, are the Timewood Clock, the Heart of Transformation, the Minewood Core and the Sortingwood Engine, which have IDs, respectively, of 1520:0 through 1520:3. These logs do not perform any function in the mod yet, cannot be crafted, are not used in any recipes and are only generated when their respective trees are grown from the respective saplings. Presumably, these blocks will have some sort of function in a future version relating to their name, with the Timewood Clock to do with how time works (possibly allowing the player to change the time in the Forest), the Heart of Transformation to do with transforming blocks and/or items, the Minewood Core to do with mining blocks, and the Sortingwood Engine to do with sorting items.

Currently, the Timewood Clock makes crops and plants grow faster, the Heart of Transformation transforms the surrounding biome into enchanted forest, the Minewood Core acts as an Ore Magnet pulling up all ores in its very large radius over time, and the Sortingwood Engine will move items around in chests within its radius, putting them into an order of some kind. The light that they give off is the highest light level possible, having a light level of 15 at the block itself. The Timewood Clock gives off a "ticking" sound when placed and the Heart of Transformation makes musical notes.

Not Yet Implemented Blocks

Currently, no blocks tagged with [NYI] exist in the most recent version of the mod.

Though there is an achievement for the medium hollow hill that is not yet implemnted.
