Ruby Shovel is a tool added by Redpower 2. Like its Vanilla counterparts, it will dig dirt, sand and similar blocks, performing exactly like a Diamond Shovel with respect to speed and enchant-ability, but with only 500 durability. Ruby Shovels can be ground into one Ruby Dust and possibly Sawdust with a Macerator or Rock Crusher, but this will only work with undamaged tools. Since Rubies have alternate uses, they are not an ideal choice for crafting gem tools.
