The Component Heat Exchanger transfers heat between components in a Nuclear Reactor. It differs in function from the Heat Exchanger and the Advanced Heat Exchanger in that it only transfers heat between reactor components, not with the reactor hull itself. Like other heat exchangers, the Component Heat Exchanger will attempt to balance available heat between itself and all adjacent components, relative to their maximum heat capacity.
