Universal Fluid Cells are added by IndustrialCraft² to help transport liquids. They are not to be confused with Empty Cells that are made using a Metal Former. Unlike empty cells, the liquids that are stored in them is saved in the meta data, as opposed to converting it to a new item as empty cells do. They also can be filled with any forge compatible liquid. Universal Fluid Cells filled with water can not be extracted into Hydration Cells thus are not compatible with the Crop-Matron.
