Darkwood Wood is a type of log found within Darkwood Trees in the Twilight Forest. These trees and their logs generate exclusively within Dark Forest biomes, the leaves making up the thick and nigh-impenetrable canopy of the forest and the logs making up the columns that make the forest a chore to navigate or inhabit. Darkwood Wood can also be generated by growing a Darkwood Sapling either naturally or with Bonemeal.
Approximately one to two dozen Darkwood Wood are generated when a Darkwood Tree is grown in addition to several dozen Root blocks beneath the Darkwood Wood trunk. This makes Darkwood Wood a semi-efficient way of gathering logs and sticks. However, the Darkwood Leaves that make up the canopy of the tree are a chore to clean up without a Mining Laser, a Vajra or a tool with very high enchants, as these leaves are indifferent to the effects of Shears.
As with other logs, Darkwood Wood can be placed in a crafting grid to yield four Spruce Wood Planks and can be placed in a Sawmill or Industrial Sawmill to yield six Spruce Wood Planks and a unit of Wood Pulp.
As of TF version 1.15.4 (not yet found in any FTB packs) Towerwood Planks can be created by placing four Darkwood Wood in a crafting grid, as shown below. Thus, one Darkwood Wood is equivalent to one Towerwood Planks block.
