Twilight Forest Trees
Twilight Forest Trees are a group of additional trees that are added by the Twilight Forest mod and either spawn within the forest or can be grown from saplings found as loot in a Leaf Dungeon. Different trees spawn within different biomes and in different formations, with some biomes not spawning any trees and some biomes spawning only a particular type of tree.
There are currently nine types of trees in the mod, four of which are "magic" trees that can only be grown with their respective saplings, found as loot in Leaf Dungeons.
List of Tree Types[edit]
- Canopy Tree: a two to three dozen block tall tree; made of Canopy Tree Wood and Canopy Tree Leaves, can be found naturally in many biomes or grown from a Canopy Tree Sapling; generates Root block structures when grown naturally or via sapling
- Darkwood Tree: a 6 to 10 block tall tree; made of Darkwood Wood and Darkwood Leaves; can be found naturally in the Dark Forest biome or grown from a Darkwood Sapling; generates Root block structures when grown naturally or via sapling; highly inadvisable to use to farm logs due to the nearly unbreakable nature of Darkwood Leaves, although it is a possible method of obtaining the very durable Towerwood Planks in newer Twilight Forest versions
- Miner's Tree: a "magic" tree type; made of Minewood and Miner's Leaves for the pickaxe hilt and head, respectively, with a Minewood Core several blocks up on the hilt of the pickaxe formation of the tree; grows from a Miner's Tree Sapling; acts like an Ore Magnet; does not generate wood that can be made into planks
- Rainbow Oak: a tree found exclusively within the Enchanted Forest biome in small quantities throughout the biome; does not generate Root block structures when grown; behaves exactly identical to a normal Oak tree except for its use of Rainbow Oak Leaves instead of normal Oak leaves and Twilight Oak Wood instead of normal Oak wood
- Sorting Tree: a "magic" tree type; made of Sortingwood and Sorting Leaves, forming a short five-block-tall tree with only three Sortingwood and one Sortingwood Engine; does not generate Root blocks when grown; grown from a Sorting Tree Sapling; sorts nearby inventories; does not generate wood that can be made into planks
- Tree of Time: a "magic" tree type; made of Timewood and Timewood Leaves, forming a tall and branching tree with a thick structure of roots; generates one Timewood Clock per growth; grown from a Tree of Time Sapling; increases the speed at which crops grow; does not generate wood that can be made into planks
- Tree of Transformation: a "magic" tree type; made of Transwood and Leaves of Transformation, looking akin to but shorter than a normal Canopy Tree; generates one Heart of Transformation per growth; grown from a Tree of Transformation Sapling; converts the surrounding area into Enchanted Forest biome; does not generate wood that can be made into planks
- Twilight Mangrove: a tree found exclusively over pools of water in the Swamp biome; generates Root blocks when grown; about 16 blocks tall with three main roots supporting a central trunk; made of Mangrove Wood and Mangrove Leaves; can be found in Swamp biomes or grown from a Twilight Mangrove Sapling
- Twilight Oak: the most common tree in the Twilight Forest, found in giant formations throughout the forest and commonly in other biomes; often contains a Leaf Dungeon; can be grown with either a Sickly Twilight Oak Sapling (which is the more common variety) or with a Robust Twilight Oak Sapling (very rare); Sickly saplings generate a tree with the same generation as a regular Oak tree, and Robust saplings generate a tree several dozen to one or two hundred blocks tall and with a profuse quantity of Twilight Oak Leaves, Twilight Oak Wood, Fireflies and Cicadas, as can be seen when wandering regular Twilight Forest biomes in the Forest; made of Twilight Oak Leaves and Twilight Oak Wood
