Venison Steak is the product of cooking Raw Venison in any type of Furnace. Due to the equivalence of Deer to Cows in that Deer drop Leather and an item that is equivalent to Raw Beef, Venison Steak functions exactly as Steak does in that it heals 8 units of food (4 bars) whereas Raw Beef and Raw Venison each heal only 3 units (1.5 bars) of food. Thus, it is highly productive to cook Raw Venison in a Furnace, as this more than doubles the amount of food that it restores.
