The Machine Box is a highly versatile GregTech machine that, when first placed, does almost nothing. Instead of serving a specific purpose, the block can be modified by both Upgrades and Covers to perform any number of useful functions.

Usage

In its original, unmodified state, the Machine Box will accept a maximum input of 32 EU/t (any more, and the machine will explode!) and will output it at a rate of 32 EU/t to its output face (marked by an orange dot), with an internal storage capacity of 10,000 EU, 1000mB of any liquid and a single slot for items.

The usefulness of the block is limited only by how creative the player is in applying the machine to different situations. On its own, the Machine Box is really only useful as a small buffer for EU, liquids and items or as a very expensive copper cable substitute, but when modified with upgrades it can be adapted to perform any number of tasks.

For example, with a HV Solar Panel and two Transformer Upgrades, it is possible to turn it into a crude substitute for a High Voltage Solar Array or Ultimate Hybrid Solar Panel without needing to actually install those addons. It can be used as very expensive but very high capacity pipe substitute by using two or more Pump Modules set to input and output liquids, or as a much cheaper substitute to a Superconductor Wire by using two Transformer Upgrades and two HV-Transformer Upgrades to allow the machine to accept and output up to 8196EU/t.
