Not to be confused with the Tesla Coil, which bears the same name but is not a component part of the Tesla Staff but shares a similar function.
The Tesla Staff is an experimental PvP-only weapon in the GregTech mod. The Tesla Staff holds 10,000,000 EU (the same as an MFSU) and can only be charged in one of GregTech's energy storage devices: either the Lapotronic Energy Storage Unit, the Adjustable Energy Storage Unit or the Interdimensional Energy Storage Unit. When attempting to use the Tesla Staff on mobs such as Zombies or Spiders, it has no effect. The arm-swing animation is played, but no EU is discharged from the weapon and the mobs take no damage.
On players, the Tesla Staff will destroy any type of electric (rechargeable) armor the other player is wearing, which will consume nearly all the 10 million EU it holds. Just like on mobs, it does not deal any extra damage however.
