Alloy Smelter is a machine added by GregTech. It is used to make Bronze Ingots, Brass Ingots and Invar Ingots without having to Macerate the ingredient ingots into dust first. It can also be used to make Electrum Ingots which can potentially double your circuit output (relative to cables and ref. iron), and quadruple your advanced circuit output. In addition, as of 1.6 the Alloy Smelter is used in the production of Cupronickel, Kanthal and Nichrome ingots, used to make the respective heating coil. Any insertion of items from the top side of the alloy smelter will be placed inside the second slot, and any insertions from the left side will be placed inside the first slot.
It should be noted that Bronze, Invar, and Electrum Ingots can also be made in an Induction Smelter, and Brass Ingots in a RedPower 2 Alloy Furnace or Blulectric Alloy Furnace. The latter also can create Brass without need for Zinc.

The Alloy Smelter is a Low Voltage machine and therefore has a max input of 32 EU/p and uses 32 EU/t. Any higher voltage will cause the machine to explode. The machine cannot accept EU from its front face.

- The Alloy Smelter's texture bears a resemblance to the textures of the Alloy Furnace and Blulectric Alloy Furnace from RedPower 2.
